小妇人3000字读后感范文
When my fingertip slipped through the lines and led me into every new chapter, I just couldn’t keep my eyes away from the pages. I found it impossible for me to drive the images, which were created by every plot from the book, out of my mind. And till this moment, I can still tell what the color of the mail-box standing on the path around the garden is. The characters come to life as if I could hear their laughter, cry or even murmur.
In the living room of the March’s, Meg is sewing some decorations onto her new dress; Jo is reading the newly-written chapter from her novel in pride; Beth is tuning her piano patiently; Amy is drawing all this down in the corner. It seems that everything goes well with the little women.
But the family circumstance is going downhill more and more. The great fortune they had once before makes it a little bit hard for all of them to adapt themselves to the new simple life. They are interested in expensive decorations and yield to such little temptations. They look forward to being the spotlights of the parties held in shining halls. They have fallen into the dream to be rich again which is totally impossible. To make things worse, they write mushy poems for the tabloids to get paid. They fiddle with art just for show. They cover themselves up with reluctant smiles before others to keep a position in their little Vanity Fair.
Our lovely little women get lost in the vain compliments, thinking they are approaching the perfect life they want on the right way. But the cruel fact won’t be that kind. It may hurt you and let you down when you put your heart in. when Meg overhears an elder acquaintance saying she’d been made a fool of as she was in a dress not for her age; when inspiration goes to Jo no longer as she wastes her talent on such silly poems; when Amy is laughed at for being a clown in the field of art, they are shocked.
The temptation builds a deep dark trap for them but also saves them in some way. And now I see it’s true that a coin has its two sides. If the frequent social doings didn’t tire them out and make them return empty-handed, they wouldn’t run away from their foolish cloud-castles and expose themselves to the fresh clean air outside the castle. They suddenly realize that those days are just a set of dazzling bubbles. There must be something more important and necessary than fortune and status, which will accompany them till the end of life. Maybe it is an ambition hidden in the bottom of heart. Maybe it is a love they are to give or be given.
When the four sisters finger the ash fire of their naive dreams, it can never burn into a raging flame again. The remaining heat warms them, does good to them, but won’t drive them into madness. The former strong desire of fame and gain has converted to a calm sense, soft and natural. Vainglory isn’t torturing them any more because they won’t bend to anyone. They are now holding a blueprint of future on their own.
Into each life some rain must fall, some days must be dark and sad and dreary. When the sisters get together again after going in for their own career individually for several years; and all of them have had their own family, Amy blurted out these words. Each single word leaves me not only a strong impression but also food for thought. Growing needs time, but as well as faults and pains. Having read the book from cover to cover, you may find another Meg or Jo or Beth or Amy in you. Walking on the road marked with their footprints, you will be confident to go through the rainy days in your life as they did. That is what matters. And what the writer wanted to share with the readers through the things the characters had done and the words they had said make the book time-honored.
